With the inauguration of the <strong data-start=\"553\" data-end=\"579\">POEM Technology Center<\/strong> at the University of Copenhagen, the country now hosts its first facility capable of producing wafers at the leading 300 mm standard.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"baseline\"><span class=\"OYPEnA font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\" style=\"color: #003366;\">THE POEM TECHNOLOGY CENTER: A STRATEGIC LEAP<\/span><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"923\" data-end=\"1292\">The new facility is the result of a close partnership between the <strong data-start=\"989\" data-end=\"1051\">Novo Nordisk Foundation Quantum Computing Programme (NQCP)<\/strong>, the <strong data-start=\"1057\" data-end=\"1081\">Niels Bohr Institute<\/strong>, and <strong data-start=\"1087\" data-end=\"1096\">RIBER<\/strong>.<br data-start=\"1097\" data-end=\"1100\" \/>Located in the brand new Niels Bohr Building, the center provides researchers and engineers with state-of-the-art equipment to accelerate progress in semiconductors and quantum technologies.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1294\" data-end=\"1567\">As Peter Krogstrup, CEO of NQCP, stated during the ceremony: <em data-start=\"1355\" data-end=\"1565\">\u201cThe new partnership can accelerate the development of tomorrow\u2019s microchips in Denmark and Europe and thereby help address the geopolitical and technological challenges that define the global chip industry.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1294\" data-end=\"1567\">\n<p data-start=\"1294\" data-end=\"1567\"><span class=\"OYPEnA font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\" style=\"color: #003366;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.riber.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Poster-POEM-Logocopiecrop-640x415.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"415\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-3978 aligncenter\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.riber.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Poster-POEM-Logocopiecrop-640x415.png 640w, https:\/\/www.riber.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Poster-POEM-Logocopiecrop-900x583.png 900w, https:\/\/www.riber.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Poster-POEM-Logocopiecrop-768x498.png 768w, https:\/\/www.riber.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Poster-POEM-Logocopiecrop-800x518.png 800w, https:\/\/www.riber.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Poster-POEM-Logocopiecrop.png 1250w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"baseline\"><span class=\"OYPEnA font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\" style=\"color: #003366;\">RIBER&rsquo;S TECHNOLOGY AT THE CORE<\/span><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1611\" data-end=\"1892\">At the heart of the new cleanroom facility is <strong data-start=\"1657\" data-end=\"1708\">RIBER\u2019s molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) technology<\/strong>. This process allows scientists to deposit extremely thin, atomically precise layers with unparalleled purity, a requirement for developing advanced <strong data-start=\"1859\" data-end=\"1889\">quantum and photonic chips<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1894\" data-end=\"2223\">These chips, based on light rather than electrons, are key to future innovations in <strong data-start=\"1978\" data-end=\"2054\">high-speed communications, optical data processing, and quantum circuits<\/strong>.
